CGX now own and operate the igrain market for grain stored on-farm
Broad lift in grain prices continued - Deteriorating crop conditions globally and in Australia has seen buyers wanting more cover and lifting prices.
49 buyers met grower prices to purchase 46 grades - Wheat, barley, canola, faba beans, lentils, lupins and sorghum traded in 16 port zones.
CGX and igrain enable growers to offer grain for sale - Growers delivering to warehouse can offer grain for sale on CGX. Growers with grain on-farm can offer grain for sale on igrain and determine pickup/delivery timeframes.
When your grain is offered for sale on CGX all buyers can see it and try to purchase it.

Broad lift in prices continued
There was a continued broad lift in prices of Australian grain with many grades now trading at higher prices than those experienced through the 23/24 harvest period.
Buyer appetite for Australian grain continued to remain strong with 49 different buyers lifting their bids to match grower offer prices and purchase grain on CGX.
Another 77 buyers were searching for grain to buy through the exchange but couldn't find the grade/location that suited their requirements, or couldn't match the price growers were asking for those parcels at the time.
Buyers made over 10,700 searches for grain on CGX just last week!
CBOT wheat made new highs for 2024 last week as deteriorating crop conditions in many parts of the world, particularly Black Sea, continued to underpin prices.
Persistent dry conditions across southern grain growing areas of Australia are also playing into prices and seeing both global and local end-users wanting more cover.
Growers and their selling Agents/Advisors (if using one) were relatively active in the market last week in terms of offering grain for sale and selling.
481 sellers sold grain through CGX across 683 transactions with more offering grain for sale. 20 agent and/or advisory businesses sold grain on behalf of growers.
46 grades of wheat, barley, canola, faba beans, lentils, lupins and sorghum sold in 16 port zones across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and WA last week on CGX.
If you have grain stored, either in warehouse or on-farm, make sure you OFFER it for sale "at the price you want" on Clear Grain Exchange or igrain respectively.
This way ALL BUYERS can see it, crunch their numbers and try to buy it.
Rather than negotiating with a few buyers over the phone or email, OFFER it for sale on an independent and secure exchange so all buyers can try and buy your grain.
It's easier, and grain is regularly trading at better prices than you may otherwise have thought were available. You set the price. You create demand for your grain!

You can search prices in your CGX account. Be sure to check the prices of sites in your area when offering grain for sale. There is regularly different prices bid on the same grades of grain between sites in the same zone.
There's no downside. Growers are protected at all times on CGX by remaining completely anonymous and retaining title of their grain until paid with CGX's secure settlement.
