Buyers active after Easter
Buyers were actively searching and trying to buy grain last week after the Easter holiday. 35 different buyers purchased 28 grades of wheat, barley, canola, lentils, lupins and faba beans around Australia.
It may be no coincidence that barley was in high demand last week with positive progress being reported on the Chinese tariff. Barley made up the majority of grain traded through CGX last week with values lifting.
All Australian grain is in demand. Buyers want your grain.
Growers offering their grain for sale are creating the opportunity for "ALL BUYERS" to have the chance to try to buy their grain. Often traded prices are at better values than many growers think are available at the time.
Regardless of what grain you have in warehouse or whether you want to sell in the near-term or are prepared to target higher prices and potentially hold grain for longer; get it on offer so all buyers can see it and try to buy it.
Remember you can defer payment if needed and/or offer grain for transfer in future months such as July.
