Grain Report Wednesday - 04th October
What price do you want for your grain?
Overnight moves in international markets and yesterday's actual traded prices across Australia are below to help you determine your price. If you need to change your offer price, simply edit it before market open.
Look Out!
Well wheat markets didn’t fall away on turn-around Tuesday.
US wheat is as cheap as chips, unless there is a potato shortage, but cheap enough that China has bought 220,000 tonnes of US Soft Red wheat.
I reported yesterday that US Soft Red wheat has been oversold and is now the cheapest wheat in the world.
Once the market leader, now the market loser; USA, USA, USA!
Also reports China has also bought a heap of French wheat. Not sure what they will do with crappy French wheat as they already have enough feed wheat from the rains over their harvest.
Maybe they will feed it to their pigs or make baguettes.
There are some reports that over the last 2 weeks, China has bought 2 million tonnes of French wheat, 1 million tonnes of US wheat as well as Aussie and Canadian wheat.
