Grain Report Tuesday- 28th November
What price do you want for your grain?
Overnight moves in international markets and yesterday's actual traded prices across Australia are below to help you determine your price. If you need to change your offer price, simply edit it before market open.
Look Out!
Looks like the bear has settled in with markets off again last night.
But we are moving into the Northern Hemisphere winter, so it might hibernate soon.
However, Matif and Winnipeg slapped the bear and were both up slightly.
Some regions in Brazil received some rains over the weekend, but a large area didn’t receive enough, so the bean crop is not out of the woods yet.
Their soybean crop is 74%, which is 13% behind last year’s planting.
A few wheat tenders are popping up with Bangladesh and the Paki’s chasing wheat.
I was looking at site bids versus Track or Port bids this morning, and the current Geelong Terminal Track Bid is $390, which is under ASX (it should be over ASX Jan, but ignore that for a minute).
This puts the site bid at Boort at AUD $362 and Berriwillock at AUD $356, but the best bids up-country are AUD $9 under the market?
Why? It makes no sense. Must be if you get the money in 2 days, it's worth AUD $9 per tonne or maybe you are being punished for being up-country?
Do the smart thing and list your grain and name your price on Clear Grain Exchange, even if you list it at market, not the site bid.
