CBOT soybean futures pinged to a 10-month high as a proposal to extend a US biofuel tax credit boosted hopes for demand. Corn futures were mixed, while wheat rebounded from a near five-year low.
Russian crop damage from May frosts is not significant this year and is estimated at only about 10% of last year's damage, with lack of moisture the main risk for the crop. Recently forecasts for Russian production have been rising.
