Grain Report Friday - 27th September
What price do you want for your grain?
Overnight moves in international markets and yesterday's actual traded prices across Australia are below to help you determine your price. If you need to change your offer price, simply edit it before market open.
Look Out!
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, adieu,
Adieu, adieu to you and you and you.
This is my last market update for CGX as I hand over the reins to Richard Koch.
But rather than write about the markets, which I rarely did, I thought it might be better to reflect on some of my commentary over the last 2 years.
Here are some of my favourite analogies and descriptions:
One of the hardest things to do, other than barrack for the Worst Coast Eagles, is write something each morning, especially when nothing is really happening.
Unfortunately, like Essendon, the Australian wheat crop may have peaked in July.
I have finally worked out why it has been dry in parts of the United States; people have been eating cats and dogs.
Apparently, not an issue though as the growers in Spain had plenty of rains on the plains to grow grains.
The Yanks released their world supply and demand stab in the dark report last night.
Time to do some break dancing, or just roll around on the floor to celebrate wheat markets being slightly up on Friday night.
President Putten, whoops, sorry I mean President Zelensky; I always get those Presidents mixed up.
I still think this has all been driven by Tennis Elbow giving back the 2 Panda Bears, Wang Wang and Fu Ni to China.
Anyway, the Frogs have said sorry, or as I interpreted it; “Sacre Bleu, weee, weee, don’t care you are all idiots” (said in a French accent).
Nothing to see here as a building burst into flames behind the reporter.
What an absolute waste of 4 months, for the Tigers, Adam Simpson and the grain markets.
Markets went to a rave party last night and got smashed.
Penny Wong and her father, Mr. Wong should sit down with China today and resolve it; Two Wong’s could make a Right.
Does anyone else compare watching “Biden His Time” on TV like watching Weekend at Bernie’s? Just put him on the couch and carry on.
The wheat bears, Wang Wang and knackered knee, Fu Ni are back in the driver’s seat, with Chicago and Kansas both off again
Man from Snowy River quote; “you’d sooner hold back the tide than to predict the oilseed market Jim”.
Who is the best golfer, Donald Duck or Biden His Time.
Like the Kings Honour Award to Dan the Man, the wheat markets continue to be confusing and against public opinion.
I tell you what, things are getting ordinary in SA; it’s been a very tough season, especially if you barrack for the crows.
Unlike the Eagles, WA looks promising,
Boom, boom, boom lets go back to my room.
